Most off-track calls are a clean fix: straighten or replace the track, swap the roller, reset the cable, done. Where it goes sideways is when the door's been running off track for weeks before the owner calls - the opener keeps trying to close a door that isn't aligned, and that strain can crack the top panel where the roller bracket bolts in. At that point we're not just fixing a track, we're replacing a panel, and on a 2001-era sectional door that panel may not be stocked by whoever installed it originally. If that's the case, we'll tell you straight whether patching it is worth it or whether the door's close enough to the end of its life that replacement makes more sense than chasing parts for an aging panel.
